Sour Croodleman has long been one of Noodleham’s most unforgettable inventors, best known for creating the Kraut Mobile—a bold but notoriously stinky sauerkraut‑powered car. As the older brother and self‑proclaimed arch nemesis of Herbie Snoodleman, he blames Herbie for the downfall of his beloved invention and even tries to sabotage the grand opening of the Snoodle Kidoodle Noodle Art Museum in revenge.

Despite his prickly nature, Sour eventually finds some happiness running his own deli café, channelling his love of sharp flavours into towering sandwiches and perfectly brined pickles. His life shifts again when the Zoodles, a band of alien animals bent on conquering Noodleham, arrive and force him to put aside his rivalry to team up with Herbie. In a flash of true brilliance, Sour invents the prickly peppered purple propulsion‑powered pickle, giving Herbie’s Snoodle Zoomadoodle the boost it needs to rocket into space and rescue their niece and nephew.

Sour Croodleman may be grumpy, but when Noodleham needs him, he proves he’s far more than a grouch with a grudge—he’s a wonderfully weird hero.
